My client is an independent London based consultancy firm, providing bespoke IT solutions for boutique investment clients within the private equity, real estate and retail industries. My client is looking for self-motivated, driven candidates to join their team. This role will be suited for candidates with proven technical competency, an understanding of databases and systems architecture, and good knowledge of SQL. As a technical consultant, you will be comfortable working with their clients to provide technical solutions. From initial design meetings to data migrations and visualisations you will provide the direction for projects.
The Role:

You will be liaising with client business users and IT teams to gather and assist in defining detailed requirements and functional specifications.

Implementing and supporting all technical aspects of data migrations.

Use SQL and Excel to manipulate data with some scripting as necessary.

Ensure all work meets prescribed standards in design and quality.

Document all work and communications to a high professional standard.

You will have experience and skill in the following:

At least 1 year of commercial experience in a similar or related role (e.g. data analyst, business analyst, business intelligence consultant, technical business consultant etc)

A good understanding of concepts of database and systems architecture.

Good knowledge of SQL (e.g. stored procedures, JOINS, UNIONS etc)

Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, Developing Macros)
-
Prior practical programming experience in scripting languages such as Python, Javascript or Perl.

Good time management and organisational skills, with an ability to multi-taskbalance parallel work streams independently.

Quick to grasp new concepts and a mindset to learn on the job.

The ability to work collaboratively with clients and provide direction for projects.
